The Earth moves!

Astronomy 101; My professor is weird; he has a sense of humor that none of us seem to understand; so far I haven't been able to understand anything he's talked about. I hate to think this but maybe it's because I don't really watch Star Trek and Battlefield Earth. Err, Battlestar Galactica. I get the two mixed up. That's sort of unfair of me to say; he's a nice guy; he's Carl Sagan with a ponytail. I'm actually in some pretty serious trouble; I can't afford the 220$ textbook and Carl mentioned that we will be having daily quizzes on the assigned readings. He quizzed us today; the question was something like "Why does the constellation of Orion appear different in April and October blah blah blah french fried potatoes blah blah blah beam me up Mr. Scott blah blah blah caught in a tractor beam." My answer was "Because the Earth moves." I was right! We'll see how far this attitude gets me.
